ABOUT THE BABY BEAR MUNOZ FUND
The Baby Bear Munoz Memorial Fund was started in the Summer of 2009 by Nacho and Jackie Munoz in honor of thier first grandson. In July 2009 former Called Up Coach David Munoz and his wife Shannon lost thier first child at 6 months in the womb. In rememberence of "Baby Bear" Nacho and Jackie decided to start a fund in his memory with the hope of giving other kids in need the opportunity to attend the Called Up Baseball Camp program.
About Stillbirth
Stillbirth is a relatively common, but often random, occurrence. The mean stillbirth rate in the United States is approximately 1 in 115 births, which is roughly 26,000 stillbirths each year, or on an average one every 20 minutes. In developing countries, where medical care can be of low quality or unavailable, the stillbirth rate is much higher.
A Message from the Munoz Family
From Nacho and Jackie:
"We write with heavy hearts but know our precious little one is in the arms of Jesus, and with that we have great comfort. We were given much joy in the 6 months we had our little one in the womb and look forward to spending eternity with him."
How You Can Contribute
