Ben Orr • Director
Professional: Chicago Cubs
Coaching: Biola University Asst.
College: Biola University
High School: La Mirada H.S.

Ben was C.I.F. Player of the Year in 1996 at La Mirada H.S. where he helped his team win the Division 3 Championship. He went on to star at Biola University where he was a two time Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Year and NAIA All-American. Ben was ace of the 2001 pitching staff that led Biola to is first NAIA World Series birth in school history. He signed a professional contract with the Chicago Cubs in 2001. Ben has directed baseball camps since 2000.

Brent Lavoie • Assistant Director
Coaching: La Mirada H.S., Whittier H.S., East LA Dodgers (College Summer)
College: Biola University
High School: Glendale H.S. MO.

Brent was selected to the All-Southwest Missouri Team at Glendale H.S. in Springfield MO. He played collegiately at Biola University where he starred at second base for the Eagles who participated in the NAIA World Series. After college Brent lead Valley Christian H.S. to a league title and C.I.F. appearance in his first year as head coach. After two sucessful seasons as head coach at Whittier H.S. Brent currently took over as Junior Varsity Head Coach at La Mirada H.S.

Sam Orr • Lead Instructor, Hitting and Infield

Coaching: La Mirada H.S. Varsity Asst.
College: Biola University
High School: La Mirada H.S.

Sam was a 1st Team all C.I.F. shortstop at La Mirada H.S. He followed his brother Ben to Biola University where he broke the record for homeruns in a season (24). He was drafted in the 8th round by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2004 and in 2005 he was selected to the South Atlantic League All-star team. Sam is a private hitting instructor in Southern California.

Chris Weems • Lead Instructor, Hitting and Infield
Professional: Gauting Indians, GERMANY
Coaching: Biola University Asst.
College: Biola University
High School: Long Beach Wilson H.S.

Chris was Offensive Player of the Year and 1st team All Moore League for 2 years at Long Beach Wilson H.S. He went on to play at Santa Ana College and Biola University. At Biola Chris earned 1st team All-Conference and All-American honors. In the summer of 2006 he played and coached in the German League with the Gauting Indians. He is beginning his 3rd year as assistant coach at Biola University.

Jack Mehl • Lead Instructor, Hitting and Infield
College: University of LaVerne, Lane Community College
High School: Churchill H.S. Eugene, OR.

Jack had a stellar career at the University of La Verne where he helped lead the Cougars to the 2008 SCIAC Championship. Jack was a two-time All-SCIAC player and was named to the American Baseball Coaches/Rawlings 2008 All-West Region team. "Cracker Jack" makes frequent trips out from Eugene, Oregon to work Called Up Camps.

Jonathon Rouwenhorst • Lead Instructor, Pitching
Professional: Los Angeles Angels, Atlanta Braves
College: Biola University
High School: Bretheren Christian H.S.

Jon was drafted in the 34th round by the Cleveland Indians out of Brethren Christian H.S. He attended Biola University where he had an outstanding career earning 1st Team All-American Honors. Jon signed a professional contract with the Los Angeles Angels in 2001 where he spent 7 seasons taking part in two Big League Camps and pitching against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Freeway League Series. Jon signed with the Atlanta Braves in 2008 where he spent the year in AAA. Jon will be playing for the OC Flyers in the Professional Golden Baseball League.

Sean Magana • Lead Instructor, Pitching and Outfield
College: Mt. San Antonio College,
High School: Whittier H.S.

Sean was a standout pitcher at Whittier H.S. where he played under coach Lavoie. Sean was a second team all Del Rio League selection and was chosen to play in the Rotary All-Star Game. Sean has been working for Called Up since the Winter of 2007. Sean is known as "Coach Gana" at Called Up Camp.

Tim Nolan • Strength and Conditioning
College: Azusa Pacific University, Biola University
High School: Sonora H.S.

Tim is the closer at Azusa Pacific University after transfering from Biola University. Tim is the Strength and conditioning coach for Called Up. He works out of Redline Athletics in Orange County. He emphasizes core stability, speed development, and strength and agility. He is known at camp as "The General".

David Munoz • Lead Instructor, Hitting and Infield
Professional: Independent Frontier League
Coaching: Biola University Asst.
College: Cal State Fullerton, Biola University
High School: Esparanza H.S.

David Munoz was a standout shortstop at Division 1 Esperanza High School where he was was named MVP of the Orange County All-Star game in 1998. After high school David signed to play at Biola University where he was an all conference shortstop. In 2002 David transfered his senior year to play at Division 1 powerhouse Cal State Fullerton. After college David played 3 years of professional baseball in the Independent Frontier League. David or "Coach Moony" is one of the all time favorite Called Up Coaches.

Nick Covyeau • Lead Instructor, Hitting and Outfield
College: San Diego City College
High School: Capistrano Vally H.S.

Nick is a power hitting outfielder who prepped at Capistrano Valley H.S. in Mission Viejo. After Capo Valley Nick attended San Diego City College where he now starts for the Knights. Called Up is happy to have "Coach Coovy" on board.

Jeff McKee • Lead Instructor
Baseball: Trinity Bat Company
High School: Tustin H.S.

Jeff played baseball at Tustin H.S. Jeff along with his father and brother started Trinity Bat Co. in 2004. Trinity became the fastest wood baseball bat company to get approved by Major League Baseball for game use. Being a Christian company, Trinity Bats will never approve bats that do not meet the high standards Trinity has set forth for their products.
